Room and dorm

Dieses Funktion steht mobil leider nicht zur Verfügung.

  • How big are the rooms on average?
The size of our rooms varies from dorm to dorm.
Please refer to the dormitory descriptions on our website for information about the room sizes.
  • How are the rooms equipped?
Our rooms are fully furnished. There is a bed, a desk, a wardrobe and a shelf.
In the dormitories with shared bathrooms, the room also has its own sink and mirror.
From the winter semester 2022/23, you must bring your own suitable mattresses in the dormitories Collegium Marianum (CM), Fürstin-von-Gallitzin-Heim (FvG), Überwasserhof (ÜWH) and Tita-Cory-Campus (TCC). Students from abroad (Erasmus or similar) can purchase mattresses at cost price from the BSW. Mattresses will continue to be provided for the dormitories Liebfrauenstift (LS) and Deutsches Studentenheim (DSH) until the end of 2024.
  • How are the kitchens equipped?
The kitchens are equipped with stoves and ovens, refrigerators and freezers, kettles, microwaves and toasters from BSW.
There is also seating and tables where you can eat. Residents must bring their own dishes and cutlery.
We recommend only bringing one set with you to start with, because many shared kitchens already have crockery and cutlery that can be used by all residents.
  • Who cleans the common areas?
The cleanliness of the common rooms is primarily the responsibility of each individual resident.
The kitchens, hallways and common rooms are also professionally cleaned three times a week.
Garbage cans in the common rooms and private rooms must be disposed of independently in the garbage cans on site in accordance with the applicable waste separation rules.
  • Can I wash and dry my laundry in the dormitory?
The BSW provides washing machines and dryers through the provider “We Wash”. All residents pay a fee per washing and/or drying cycle. Reservations and payments are made digitally via an app on your mobile phone.
  • Is there a chapel in the dormitory?
The following dormitories have an in-house chapel:
Collegium Marianum, Deutsches Studentenheim, Liebfrauenstift and Tita-Cory-Campus.
